Recreational Gymnastics
Our gymnastics classes progress from foundational skills to advanced techniques across vault, bars, beam, and floor. Beginners build strength, coordination, and confidence through core movements. Intermediate gymnasts refine technique and begin linking skills, while advanced athletes take on challenging elements like back handsprings and high bar work—emphasizing precision, control, and mental focus.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions About
Our Gymnastics Programs
“You can track your child’s progress through our Parent Portal! Simply log in, click the ⭐ STAR icon under the kiddos name, and then select the class your child is enrolled in.
Our coaches evaluate students during each class, and their skill progress is updated in the system. You’ll see any changes to their scores or skill levels within 24–48 hours after their scheduled class. It’s a great way to stay informed and celebrate your kiddo’s accomplishments! You can also always check in with the front desk as they have access to your kiddos scores.”
“Not at all! Gymnastics is a well-rounded sport that focuses on developing skills across all four events: bars, beam, floor, and vault. To move up to the next level, kiddos need to earn 5 stars on all required skills—not just on one event.
That said, if a child is excelling in a particular area, our coaches have the flexibility to introduce safe skill upgrades on that event to keep them challenged and engaged, while still working to improve the other areas. We strive to keep learning fun, balanced, and motivating!”
Rec classes begin with a fun warm-up game to get bodies moving, followed by a group stretch. After that, students break into smaller groups based on their level, each working with their own coach. We maintain a low 8:1 student-to-coach ratio to ensure quality instruction and safety. Classes rotate between two of the four events each week—such as Bars & Vault one week and Beam & Floor the next—to provide well-rounded skill development across all apparatuses.
Nope! Prior gymnastics experience is not required to join any of our recreational classes. We welcome beginners and build foundational skills from the ground up in a supportive, fun environment. If your kiddo has done gymnastics prior an evaluation can be set up with the front desk.
Since every gym structures their levels differently, we recommend bringing your child in for a quick evaluation. This helps us place them in the class that best matches their current skill level, ensuring they feel confident, challenged, and safe as they grow in the sport.
“We recommend that students wear a leotard, but if you don’t have one—no problem! Comfortable athletic clothing works great too, as long as it covers the stomach and has no buttons, zippers, or snaps (to avoid discomfort or catching on equipment like the bars).
Kids will go into the gym barefoot, so no special footwear is needed. Please also make sure hair is pulled back and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during class.”
“We love celebrating when kiddos are ready to level up! Once your child has mastered all the required skills for their current level, their coach will present them with a certificate during class to recognize their hard work and progress.
After receiving their certificate, they’ll come to the front desk, where we’ll take a celebratory photo and help you find an available spot in their new level class. You’ll also see their progress updated in your Parent Portal, so you can stay in the loop every step of the way!”
