Junior Gymnastics

Our Junior Gymnastics program introduces young athletes to foundational skills on vault, bars, beam, and floor through structured instruction and creative movement. Students begin by developing coordination, focus, and body awareness through repetition, games, and purposeful play.

As gymnasts build strength and confidence, they progress to more advanced skills and combinations, learning to control their movements with precision. For those demonstrating strong fundamentals and readiness, our invite-only advanced class offers greater challenges that prepare athletes for the next level of training.

Frequently asked questions

You can track your child’s progress through our Parent Portal! Simply log in, click the ⭐ STAR icon under the kiddos name, and then select the class your child is enrolled in.

Our coaches evaluate students during each class, and their skill progress is updated in the system. You’ll see any changes to their scores or skill levels within 24–48 hours after their scheduled class. It’s a great way to stay informed and celebrate your kiddo’s accomplishments! You can also always check in with the front desk as they have access to your kiddos scores.

Not at all! Gymnastics is a well-rounded sport that focuses on developing skills across all four events: bars, beam, floor, and vault. To move up to the next level, kiddos need to earn 5 stars on all required skills—not just on one event.
That said, if a child is excelling in a particular area, our coaches have the flexibility to introduce safe skill upgrades on that event to keep them challenged and engaged, while still working to improve the other areas. We strive to keep learning fun, balanced, and motivating!

Master foundational skills like mat assisted pullover, forward roll, cartwheel, handstand, and bridge
Build strength and control with skills like front support, straight jump on vault, and lever on beam
Gain confidence on beam with walks on low and medium beams and introductory lever holds
Progress to advanced movements like backwards roll, vertical handstand, and pullovers

Kinder classes begin with a fun warm-up to get bodies moving, followed by a group stretch. After that, students will move through the three events; bars, beam & floor (where vault is incorporated). We maintain a low 6:1 student-to-coach ratio to ensure quality instruction and safety.

Nope! Prior gymnastics experience is not required to join any of our recreational classes. We welcome beginners and build foundational skills from the ground up in a supportive, fun environment. If your kiddo has done gymnastics prior an evaluation can be set up with the front desk.

Since every gym structures their levels differently, we recommend bringing your child in for a quick evaluation. This helps us place them in the class that best matches their current skill level, ensuring they feel confident, challenged, and safe as they grow in the sport.

We recommend that students wear a leotard, but if you don’t have one—no problem! Comfortable athletic clothing works great too, as long as it covers the stomach and has no buttons, zippers, or snaps (to avoid discomfort or catching on equipment like the bars).

Kids will go into the gym barefoot, so no special footwear is needed. Please also make sure hair is pulled back and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during class.

We love celebrating when kiddos are ready to level up! Once your child has mastered all the required skills for their current level, their coach will present them with a certificate during class to recognize their hard work and progress.

After receiving their certificate, they’ll come to the front desk, where we’ll take a celebratory photo and help you find an available spot in their new level class. You’ll also see their progress updated in your Parent Portal, so you can stay in the loop every step of the way!
