Our competitive gymnastics programs for girls build strength, confidence, and discipline through structured training and USA Gymnastics-sanctioned competitions. FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions About
Our Gymnastics Programs
Our in-house competition team, known as Town-League, practices twice a week for 1 hour each session, offering a fun and flexible option for gymnasts looking to compete locally. We also offer a USAG Xcel Competitive Team, with current groups at the Bronze and Silver levels. The Bronze group practices twice a week from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, while the Silver group practices three times a week from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, providing a more advanced training schedule for gymnasts ready to take the next step.
All competitions are considered required for team athletes, as being part of the team means committing to the full competitive season alongside your teammates. That said, we understand that unexpected situations can come up. If something prevents your athlete from attending a competition, we ask that you communicate with us as early as possible so we can plan accordingly.
We do not hold formal tryouts for our competition teams. Team placements are by invitation only, based on a coach’s recommendation and evaluation by our management staff. If your child is showing interest and potential, feel free to let us know—we’re always watching for athletes ready to take the next step!
For our Town-League team, the season runs for 7 months. The first 4 months are focused on skill development and learning routines, and the final 3 months include continued practice along with attending 5 total meets.
Our USAG Xcel team trains year-round, with the official competition season running from December through April. Athletes begin preparing in May, allowing time to build skills, learn routines, and get meet-ready. Both programs offer a supportive and exciting season filled with progress, teamwork, and performance opportunities!
At Estrella Gymnastics, we offer two exciting competitive team options to match different commitment levels and goals:
Town-League Team: Our in-house competition team is perfect for athletes looking for a fun and supportive introduction to competitive gymnastics. Gymnasts practice twice a week, learn routines, and compete in five local meets during a seven-month season. It’s a great fit for families wanting a lighter commitment with all the excitement of competition.
USAG Xcel Team: This year-round program is designed for gymnasts ready to take their training to the next level. We currently offer Bronze and Silver level teams, with practices multiple times per week and a full competition season from December through April. The Xcel program allows for flexibility while still providing a challenging and rewarding competitive experience.
